Details

The Materials for Photonics and Optoelectronics (MPOE) team designs and develops new inorganic and / or semiconductor materials in various forms: solid crystals, glasses, transparent ceramics, thin layers, nanoparticles… The objective is to succeed in demonstrating remarkable optical properties and new functionalities making it possible to address various application fields such as the detection of pollutants, telemetry, health, photovoltaics, telecommunications, display devices and luminescent diodes, sensors, optical information storage, quantum technologies etc.

MPOE activities

We intend to understand and improve the processes of synthesis of these materials by evaluating their structure-properties relationships, and by finely characterizing the optical and usage properties with a view to their future integration into a component. This approach aims to transfer technology to industrial partners.
